Privacy.

Vida is a small site. We ask for the least data we can and we tell you what happens to it. This page is the plain-English version; nothing here replaces a conversation with counsel in your jurisdiction.

What we collect

Quiz answers. When you take the two-minute quiz, we store your answers so we can generate your journey. Email is optional and captured only if you opt in at the end.

Account data. If you buy The Kit, you create an account through Google sign-in to reach /app. We store your email, display name, and journey state.

Companion conversations. Messages you send to the Companion are stored so the thread keeps context. The content is processed by a language model under our guardrails and is not used to train external models.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand which pages work. Events are pseudonymous and we do not sell them.

What we do not collect

• Payment data. Checkout is hosted by Shopify — your card never touches Vida.
• Health records, lab values, or prescription details beyond what you voluntarily type into the quiz or Companion.
• Photos. The product does not take or store pictures.

Who handles data with us

A short list of the services that see the minimum slice of data they need to do their job:

• Shopify — checkout, order payment, shipping, order emails.
• Firebase (Google Cloud) — authentication and the database that stores your journey.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (quiz completion, lifecycle notes).
• Google Gemini and Anthropic — Companion language model providers, under content guardrails and zero-retention agreements where available.
• PostHog — product analytics.

Your rights

If you are in the United States, you may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it. Email hello@vida.com from the address on your account and we will handle it within thirty days. Shopify order records are kept on their own schedule and may be requested from them directly.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and a small number of analytics cookies from PostHog. You can clear them in your browser at any time; the site still works.

Changes to this page

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Material changes trigger a note in the Companion brief or an email to account holders.
